We enjoyed a trip in the 90 degree heat down to the Lansing City Market and Riverwalk Saturday. You can see more about that trip on my other blog.
We didn’t end up buying much at the market because it’s still early in the season and there wasn’t much local produce.
However, in our wandering around the market we found a chocolate shop. They make all their own chocolates and they all looked delicious. But they had something there that I’ve only seen on TV. Bet you can’t guess!
Oh, yeah, chocolate covered bacon. I thought this was very strange when we saw it on TV, but we decided we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to taste it. Yes, I know I’m eating like a vegan, but come on—this is bacon! I was amazed at how tasty, and chewy, this treat was. If I was still my old self, I would probably have bought several pieces to take home. As it is, MWH and I just shared one piece. If you ever get the chance to try this unique treat … DO IT!! Yum!

we picked some up the other day af the world market we went to but we have not tried it yet.
Hmm... not sure if id like that - don't think i'll be trying any!
Sounds great. There is a chocolate company that sells a bar with pieces of bacon that my wife love, but this sounds even better.
