Sinkhole!

This sinkhole opened this morning on I-24 between Nashville and Chattanooga, TN.   The story at Channel 5’s website said a trucker swerved to miss it and ended up in the median.  A TDOT worker was behind the truck and realized what had happened.  He was able to warn other drivers and prevented anyone from driving into the chasm.  TDOT hopes to have the hole filled and the highway back open by the end of the weekend.  That may be rather ambitious as it may still be growing.  This picture shows the sinkhole larger and deeper than other photos on the site.

Wednesday Hero

These brave men and women sacrifice so much in their lives so that others may enjoy the freedoms we get to enjoy everyday. For that, I am proud to call them Hero.
