None of the 13 quilts shown below are bed quilts. All were made by me. This is my first post for Thursday 13!
1. This quilt is only 15" by 15". It took a really long time to make, but I found it very rewarding and relaxing
2. I made this fun quilt for a friend. He wanted something that wouldn't have to be 'babied'. So I cut up old jeans. I included some pockets and even a fly.
It was at his specific request that I put a big button hole behind the fly. He wanted to change the channel without putting his hand out in the cold.
3. The fish quilt was an exercize in tessellation. It started as a joke. My sister and I were picking fabrics and then naming them. The print with cats on a black background was a catfish. We had sunfish, speckled trout, salmon....

4. This jacket was made over 5 classes. I learned several new techniques. This is my absolute favorite jacket. I wear it all fall and half the winter.
This is the back.
5. I've made this tote bag over and over in different fabrics. My favorite tote pattern.
6. This bag was made to take to class. That big pocket on the front holds a 10.5" square up ruler. I can get my large cutting mat in the main part of the bag along with all the other tools and fabrics I need for a class. Very useful.
7. I made this one as a signature quilt for our music pastor one Christmas. All the choir signed it. I, of course, forgot to take my camera that night. So you can see it on my design board before construction.
8. This table runner was made as part of our Patchwork of Friends quilting group. It looks so nice on my buffet that he almost never makes it to the table.
9. Even tho it feels like summer, I have this one on my table right now. Another POF project.
10. My daughter asked me to make this as a gift for a teacher she was very close to in college. It's a raggety quilt. The seams come to the front and then are clipped to make a fluffy line between each block.
11. My scissors love this cozy! And it's a safe way to transport them to either POF or a class. I also stick pencil and a stylus in it when I travel.
12. I made 2 of these placemats from a set of 5 fat quarters. I had to piece the backs to have enough fabric.
13. This set of placemats was made following the Stack and Slash pattern I found on the internet. There are 6 placemats because I used 6 different fabrics. If you're interested, here's the pattern.

You do nice work. I have a friend who is a Buddhist priest who has a patchwork robe. Every piece is special to him. Your work made me think of him. Thanks.
Welcome to TTing! It's one of my favorite posts of the week. Great list too - you have such a talent. You are so creative with the jeans - great idea!
Happy TT
I love this post. Each of your quilts is so creative. Welcome to TT.
WOW how beautiful! I never did pick up the knack for quilting...great TT - welcome to the TT club!
I know that some time in my life, I will take up quilting. But I'm holding off because I don't need another obsession in addition to golf right now!
Welcome to TT! The quilts are incredible; I have very high esteem for quilters.
I loved the jeans quilt and the scissor cozy. But the jacket's quite beautiful, too. I'd be proud to wear something like that.
Clara- these are absolutely beautiful thanks for sharing them! Welcome to TT and thanks for visiting my blog!
Clara--how very creative you are. I love the idea of the jean quilt. I have quite a collection of antique quilts from our families, some almost 100 years old. I have one hanging in our farmhouse--it is eyecatching! Welcome to TT. Hope you hang around!
What wonderful work you do!!!
Wow awesome you are very skilled do you get to share your skills and teach others?
Thank you all for your kind comments.
Marcia, I'd love to teach, but there aren't that many opportunities around here. We have many quilters far more skilled than I. I do belong to a small group called Patchwork of Friends (POF). We get together about once a month. I've had some teaching times there.
Clara, welcome to T13! That is a great post. Really enjoyed it. They are all great and I was partial to the tote bag #5, and the scissors cozy. I also loved those "fluffy lines" on #10. Oh, right now I wish I knew how to quilt, just so I could make myself a tote (maybe even with some of those fluffy lines and some nifty pockets like the one with the remote).
Clara, thank you for stopping by my blog too. If you have a special recipe for a dessert using store-bought ice cream, that could work too. Those of us who want to make it with our own homemade ice cream will just substitute. But if not, you are still more than welcome to visit all of us. We need lots of READERS to participate too! You can't have a blog without an audience. :-)
Take care!
Oh what a wonderful talent you have. I just love the jeans quilt. It's so unique.
i have always wanted to learn how to quilt. some really pretty stuff you've done. i love #9 and it would be so nice to see it done in iris or crocus for spring, poinsetta for winter...
your works are all impressive!
I love all the quilts you made! They're all wonderful! And I think the big button hole behind the fly, was brilliant idea! I love it!
I wish I could be more creative in quilting as you do it very beautifully. Maybe someday I take up quilting if given the times :)
Thanks for visiting my blog, and welcome to the Thursday Thirteen meme!
These are all great! My fave would be the jacket you made, very stylish! I'd love to have one like it :)
My TT is here
Thanks so much for stopping by!
WoW I want to come to your house and play! Looks like you have lots to teach. I love the jean quilt and the remote control holder is a riot! What a great first post! Happy TT.
Waaaay cool! I don't have much patience when it comes to fabric--I am a paper fanatic. But the color and texture of textiles isn't much different to my mind than the textures and patterns of the papers I use in my projects, so I can very much appreciate your talent! Each one had me excited to see the next project!
Thanks for dropping by Miller Manor today. You might enjoy seeing my design blog, where I post some of my crafts. Do you have an etsy shop or outlet to sell, or do you just do it for yourself? I would love a tote bag!

These are terrific. I particularly like the jeans and the bag quilts. Thanks for sharing.

These are super. My sister quilts, both on and off the bed. Beautiful work, talented ladies - both of you. Thanks for sharing your projects.
You should aptent the remote quilt idea and sell it man what an idea! To loose a remote when all comfy in a quilt is maddening!
Welcome to TT! These are so pretty. I love your quilts.
I love the jacket! Too cool!
I'm totally blown away by your talent, Clara! You are really gifted!
Stop by and visit my TT when you can!
You are very talented! Such beautiful work!!

What a useful talent that you have. I never realized that there was so much that you could do with quilting. It is nice that you extend so many quilting kindnesses to people and have a group of friends with like interests. Welcome to the 13's. :-)
Beautiful Work! My mother has become a quilter in the last few years, after sewing my entire life, and while I too can sew, it's not my forte! I love looking at the quilts though, and always have to peek into her workroom (which used to be my bedroom #2) to see what she's working on.
Thank you for the visit, happy TT!
I love your work. Someone I love used to make quilts, so this makes me feel nostalgic. Great TT.
I love the jacket.
Love, LOVE the jeans quilt! What a great idea! (Thanks for visiting my TT)
Great T13! I love those quilts, I am a quilt fan, I have two on my bed, one I paid way too much for on eBay, but I fell in love with it.
Thanks for showing your quiilts, such talent. And thanks for visiting my blog, I am really glad you did!
I'm a few days late getting around! Sorry. But, I appreciate you visiting. And, you quilts are MARVELOUS! You do such a great job. The jeans quilt with the buttonhole is great (what a lazy friend you have, lol). Beautiful.
You make some lovely quilted items. Very nice! I especially love your jacket. I see why you wear it all the time. :D
Clara- These are amazing! I don't seem to have the patience for quilting although I've done a couple of simple things. The jacket is truly stupendous. I pronounce you the winner of Chuck's actual talent contest, although I just don't think we can compete with a goat that looks like a cow!
